  • Our products are a fan interpretation, intended for personal novelty purposes. We cannot re-create official MTG or other TCG cards, nor can we create playable proxies. Our cards simply take inspiration from these amazing TCGs. TheCleverGamer is not affiliated with any trading card game.

Deckbox Testing

  • While we did our best to test various deck boxes and materials, are unable to test all available deck boxes available in the marketplace.
  • Please keep in mind that thinner and more transparent material and lower metal material make for a much more effective NFC scanning experience.

NFC Scan Through/On Metal

  • PLEASE NOTE: Our NFC enabled ECKOcards™ do not work directly on metal or on or between a pile of foil cards as metal disrupts NFC signals.
  • In addition, thicker deck boxes or those with magnets clasps during our testing did not scan-thru well or at all.
  • Deckboxs such as the Gamegenic Squire 100+ XL (2021 Edition) were able to be scan through the magnetic flaps, fully closed with our ECKOcard™ up front and a few non-foil cards behind it.
  • However your experience may vary.

Scanning through Plastic / Acrylic Deck Boxes

  • Our testing shows ease of scanning through Ultimate Guard Boulders and Ultra Pro Eclipse (My favorite).
  • These materials showed low impact on the scan penetration of our cards.
  • However your experience may vary.
